Fundada en 1995, la Asociaci\u00f3n de la Industria de Biotecnolog\u00eda Agr\u00edcola de Puerto Rico (PRABIA) es un faro de innovaci\u00f3n y sostenibilidad en el sector de la biotecnolog\u00eda agr\u00edcola. Como organizaci\u00f3n sin fines de lucro, unimos a gigantes de la industria como BASF, Bayer, Corteva Agriscience, Illinois Crop Improvement Association, RiceTec y Syngenta<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Nuestro objetivo es fortalecer el ecosistema biotecnol\u00f3gico agr\u00edcola a trav\u00e9s de una rigurosa investigaci\u00f3n y desarrollo de semillas, no solo en Puerto Rico sino a nivel mundial, enfrentando directamente los desaf\u00edos que amenazan nuestro suministro de alimentos y el medio ambiente. 1995:<\/strong> Se funda PRABIA, estableciendo una nueva era para la biotecnolog\u00eda agr\u00edcola en Puerto Rico.
\n2000:<\/strong> Introdujimos el primer cultivo gen\u00e9ticamente modificado de la isla, aumentando significativamente el rendimiento y sentando un precedente para futuras innovaciones.
\n2005:<\/strong> Lideramos una importante iniciativa ambiental, reduciendo los desechos agr\u00edcolas en un 40% mediante aplicaciones biotecnol\u00f3gicas innovadoras.
\n2010:<\/strong> Nos asociamos con universidades locales para crear programas de becas destinados a desarrollar j\u00f3venes talentos en el campo de la biotecnolog\u00eda.
\n2015:<\/strong> PRABIA lanza la primera Cumbre Agro-Biotech de Puerto Rico, atrayendo la atenci\u00f3n global hacia los avances y la investigaci\u00f3n biotecnol\u00f3gica de la Isla.\n
